Welcome Home

Article Visuals (83).png Hi, I’m Laura, and I’m so glad you found your way here.

Laura at Home began in the middle of real life: a house full of people I love, a background in interior design, and a deep belief that homes are shaped more by how they’re lived in than how they’re photographed. I’m a mom of three, a designer by training, and someone who finds genuine joy in the small rituals that make a day feel complete—fresh sheets, a pot simmering on the stove, a lamp switched on just before dusk.

This site is my way of sharing what I’ve learned along the way: how to create spaces that feel thoughtful without being precious, meals that feel special without being complicated, and projects that add meaning—not pressure—to everyday life. Laura at Home isn’t about chasing a look or a lifestyle. It’s about building a home that supports the life already happening inside it.

My Approach to Home

As a designer, I’m drawn to proportion, texture, and the way light moves through a room. As a mother, I’m drawn to durability, flexibility, and spaces that invite people to gather.

Laura at Home lives at the intersection of those two perspectives.

I believe good design should quietly support daily life. It should feel comfortable to live with and interesting enough to grow alongside you. I favor homes that feel collected rather than coordinated—where pieces are chosen with intention and allowed to tell their stories over time.

A space for real life, made beautiful

I share what I've learned from years of living, designing, cooking, and making: how to create spaces that are thoughtful without being precious, and days that feel intentional without being complicated. Because comfort and creativity can live in the same room.

Why I Built This Space

For years, I worked in interiors while raising a family, and I kept noticing a disconnect. So much home inspiration looked beautiful, but it didn’t leave room for real rhythms—kids, schedules, changing seasons, evolving needs.

I created Laura at Home to bridge that gap.

This is a place where design meets reality, where creativity feels accessible, and where care—not perfection—sets the tone. My aim is to help you see your home as something you’re allowed to shape slowly, intuitively, and with confidence. No rushing. No comparison. Just thoughtful progress.

What I Share Here

🪴 Home Style

Room by room, shelf by shelf—practical interior guidance rooted in my years of design work and my equal years of living in homes that actually get used. I write about styling, arrangement, color, light, and the small decisions that add up to a space that feels like it belongs to you.

🍞 Creative Cooking

Recipes that feel genuinely special without requiring professional skill or a cleared-out schedule. Comforting, creative, and always built for the kind of cooking that fills a kitchen with good smells and brings people to the table without any fuss.

🎨 DIY Inspirations

Handmade, improved, and made-with-love projects for the home—designed to feel achievable on a real weekend and meaningful long after they're finished. From a revived piece of furniture to a hand-stitched pillow, these are the additions that tell your home's story.

🏚️

Real homes, not reference homes

I design and style and cook in a house with three kids, two mismatched sofas, and a kitchen that isn't Instagram-sized. Everything I share comes from that context, which means it's been tested under actual living conditions—not staged for a shoot and then put away.

🧵

Detail without perfectionism

I'm a designer, so I care deeply about the small things—proportions, texture, the way light moves through a room at different times of day. But I've also learned that perfecti

The slow approach, valued

A home built over time, with things collected deliberately and spaces that develop their character gradually, almost always feels more interesting than one assembled all at once. I try to write in a way that makes patience feel like an asset rather than a delay.

🕯️

Personal over perfect

The homes I love most—and the meals and the projects—all have something specific and unrepeatable about them. Not because they followed a formula, but because they didn't. I try to give you tools and ideas, not templates. The version you make should look like you.

Interior Designer & Everyday Creative

Laura Stoev

Hi, I’m a mom of three, interior designer by trade, and an everyday creative at heart. I believe the coziest homes tell a story (preferably one with snacks and secondhand treasures). Whether I’m styling a shelf, slow-cooking something comforting, or sketching a DIY idea on a napkin, my goal is always the same: to help you make your space feel more like you. Because the most memorable homes have personality, a point of view, and just the right amount of charm.
